PILGRIMAGE OF FAITH
World Youth Day: It’s more than a day, more
like 2 years in the making. It’s a journey that
will take us through much of 2007 & 2008. It’s
not an event that you just show up to with
500,000 other people to attend Mass with the
Pope in either your own or another Country.
World Youth Day and the Passionist Youth Encounter
are opportunities to go on a pilgrimage,
alone and with others. It’s a Pilgrimage of
Faith, a pilgrimage to a deeper place in life, your
life and the lives of others. There are many
parts to the journey. A lot will happen to you as
you enter this Pilgrimage of Faith.
KEEPING A JOURNAL
Many of us have taken a holiday or journey
overseas, or across our own countries. Travel is
a phenomenon for many young people. For
many, keeping a diary or journal is an important
part of this.
As we enter these last months of the Pilgrimage
to World Youth Day, keeping a Pilgrim Journal
might help us keep in touch with the changing
moods of the Spirit on the journey, of the new
discoveries we make, and of the call of the Holy
Spirit of how I should live my life as a Disciple of
Jesus in the world today.
FOR PERSONAL REFLECTION
• Who did I meet on the Journey today?
• Where did I see the face of Jesus, the
Crucified and Risen One, today?
• What is my prayer?
• Where do I feel called to service?
Now that 2008
has begun
why not start your Journal today?
